I thought only women aged 3 years in 10.  Based on the 1840 and 1850 censuses, this age for John is the one that's most wrong.  Sometimes an aging woman will deflate the ages of her husband and children to make herself seem younger — my own grandmother used to do that.  Listed next to John's sister, Mary (GLASGOW) FINDLEY.
