1.  Obituary dated: 15 Apr 1961.  "Chester Fruit Found Dead at Home."  Kentucky New Era, Hopkinsville, KY (Archives of the FRUIT-L mailing list online at RootsWeb.com):
Chester Fruit, elderly resident of Pilot Rock Road, was found dead of a self-inflicted bullet wound at his home this morning.  Coroner Gordon Hall ruled the death a suicide. Mr. Fruit, about 80, a brother of Judge Sam Fruit of this city, lived alone and was found by a friend who had intended to drive him to the city this morning. Coroner Hall said Mr. Fruit was found sitting in his rocking chair.  He had been dead since late yesterday afternoon. Arrangements had not been completed at the time of printing.
The poster adds:  "Chester H. Fruit, born 28 April 1883, was the son of Samuel Thompson Fruit and Victoria E. Clark, of Christian County, KY."

The IT guys on the big iron hated the Personal Computer because it gave users freedom and power; now they've conned you into being back under their control.
