3.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1820 (Broderbund CD-314):  There was no census in Missouri Territory in 1820, so if he is in Missouri, he won't be found.  There are eight John FRENCHes in Kentucky, including one in Logan Co. and one in Trigg Co., but none in Christian Co.  (Alexander FRUIT was not found, either.)
