CASSOPOLIS - Annabell Irene Freestone, 82, of Cassopolis, Michigan, passed away of natural causes on Monday, December 26, 2005, in Three Rivers, Michigan. Annabell was born January 16, 1923, to Owen Roy and Frances (Klapp) Stroup in Bremen, Indiana. 

She married Ernest E. Freestone on August 17, 1940, in Bryan, Ohio.  He preceded her in death February 8, 1923.  She is survived by five daughters, Shirley (Jim) Corbidge of Vancouver, WA, Mary (Don) Pastorick of Marcellus, MI, Pat (Wesley) Alspaugh, Ernestine "Diane" (Lee) Karn, Marcelene (Kurt) Steven; and one son, Ernest E. Freestone Jr., all of Cassopolis; 17 grandchildren... three great-great-grandchildren... and one sister, Elsie Edwards of Three Rivers, MI.  Annabell was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son, Clinton F. Freestone; one sister, Joann Roberts; one brother, Floyd C. Stroup; and one daughter-in-law, Paula J. Freestone

Annabell was a loving mother who loved spending time with her family so much so that she was employed at home so she could be there to raise her family.  Family was a very large part of her life.  Those who knew her knew that love and compassion were her life.  She will be truly missed by one and all. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis.  Officiating will be Rev. John Hill, pastor of Newberg Norton Bible Church.  The family will receive friends today from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the funeral home.  Interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.  Memorials may be made to Heartland Health Care Center, Three Rivers, MI, to Newberg Norton Bible Church or to the family.
