2.  1790 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Appollos not found as expected, but I didn't find Gideon FORDHAM, either.  Silas FORDHAM, is in Freehold, Albany Co., NY.

3.  1800 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Appollos not found, but he is probably not yet married.  Gideon, Silas, Paul, and Barnabas FORDAM are in Benson, Rutland Co., VT.

4.  1810 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #1 of 4; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
1810 NY Genesee Co. Caledonia Twp. Roll 27 p. 110 Ln. 12 Appollas Fordham 30020-10010-00
These data indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
3 males 9 or under 1800-1810 = Son C
= Son B
= Son A
2 males 26-44 1765-1784 = Apollos (b. 1779/80)
= ?
1 female 9 or under 1800-1810 = Daughter A
1 female 26-44 1765-1784 = Wife (b. 1780-84)
As they have no children born before 1800, it supports that Apollos did not marry until after the 1800 census.  Listed one line above Silas FORDHAM and three lines below Sephus [Cephus] FORDHAM, who is one one below Gideon FORDHAM.

5.  1820 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Apollos not found, but Gideon FORDHAM is in Genesee Co., NY, as are Andrew and Silas FORDHAM.  There is an A.S. FORDHAM in New York City, but it's hard to rationalize a move there and back.  Was he in Canada?  Or just missed?

6.  1830 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #19 of 32 — indexed "Aallos"; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
1830 NY Genesee Co. Pembroke Roll 90 p. 239 Ln. 17 Apallas/Apollos Fordham 111 000 010 - 010 000 100

Charles Osburn 27 M   Carpenter 100 Ohio
Emily Osburn 17 F       NY
Apollus Fordham 70 M   Carpenter 350 Conn
Either Charles or Emily could be a grandchild.

10.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #21 of 21):  Olivet P.O., Town of Brookfield, Eaton Co., MI, Roll M653_542, p. 595, PN 95, 780/741, enumerated 6 Jul 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1870 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
