Comments:
I can dream up only one scenario that will fit the scant data at hand: Because Philip and Margaret were married in Sullivan Co. in 1825 and because Margaret died in Sullivan Co. in 1832, it would be reasonable to expect them to appear in the 1830 Census of Sullivan Co., but they do not. There is no Philip Ferree in the entire state of Indiana, and the only Ferree in Sullivan Co. is Joel, who is almost certainly Philip's father (see Source 2). They are definitely not living with Margaret's parents. Are they perhaps living with Philip's parents? Margaret and a daughter may be, but no male in the household could correspond to Philip. Has Philip died? |
