"MUNZEN" is the feminized form of MUNZ.  In other words, the father of Rosina (MUNZ) GREINER would have been addressed as "Herr MUNZ," while her mother would have been addressed as "Frau MUNZEN."  From our English perspective, her surname is MUNZ, not MUNZEN.
Children — born in North Beaver Twp., Lawrence Co., PA:

2.  David EHLE / ELY, b. 1846/7; d. by 1860

2.  1850 U.S. Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #24 of 58 — indexed "Dorena"):  North Beaver Twp., Lawrence Co., PA, Roll 790, p. 55B, 164/164, enumerated 25 Sep 1850, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•

Anne  5 F
David  3 M
William  1 M
Docena B. Crine 61 M       Penna
"Docena" is Rosina, and she is female.  The children were born in PA.  "Docena B. Crine" has to be Rosina B. (MUNZ) GREINER, who would be female, born in Germany, and the mother of our young widow.  All I can figure, here, is that the informant didn't speak English and the enumerator didn't speak German, but how did he get the gender of the women wrong?!
