Martha Matilda (b. 1852) is being confused with Martha D. EDWARDS (b. 1848/9). In the 1860 census of Grayson Co., VA, Martha D. EDWARDS (æ 11) is living with presumed widow, Mary J. EDWARDS (p. 49), so is clearly a different person than the Martha M. EDWARDS (æ 8) living with Weldon & Lucy (ROBERTS) EDWARDS (pp. 50-51). In the 1870 census, Martha EDWARDS (æ 20) is still living with Mary EDWARDS in Grayson Co., VA (p. 182). Martha Matilda EDWARDS married James Wesley CATRON on 16 Mar 1870 in Grayson Co., VA, and the childless newlyweds are found there together in the 1870 census (p. 144B). On 18 Jul 1878 in Grayson Co., VA, Martha D. EDWARDS married John ISOM; the as yet childless couple is found there in the 1880 census (pp. 354A-354B). Some secondary sources show the parents of Martha D. EDWARDS as Andrew EDWARDS & Mary Jane BEDSAUL, which would make her a sister to James Currin EDWARDS; I have made not attempt to confirm it.

I checked the 1860 and 1850 censuses and cannot find a Nancy RICHARDS who appears to be this one.
