In 1910, a descendant wrote The Bureau of Pensions, Dept. of the Interior, Washington, DC, asking for a summary of the information known about the William DAVIS who applied for a Revolutionary War pension in Bedford Co., PA. Below is the response to that request. If the data on your "Pennsylvania William DAVIS" ancestor does not jibe with the information below and/or you cannot prove a connection to him, you need to stop claiming him as an ancestor.
