Comments:
  • Under traditional German naming practice, every son in a family was given the same saint's name as their first name.  In everyday life, a German male went by his middle name — just the opposite of English naming practice.  Most Germans immediately dropped the practice upon arriving in the U.S.  Because immigrants sometimes gave their first name and sometimes their middle name to clerks and record-keepers, working on the genealogy of immigrant Germans is particularly difficult.  (The same applies to females.)
  • DREISCHMEYER is an extremely rare surname.  It appears that all DREISCHMEYERs in California are related, probably all descendants of Gustav & Wilemine.

The IT guys on the big iron hated the Personal Computer because it gave users freedom and power; now they've conned you into being back under their control.
