Betsy Ann is supposedly dead, so this woman must be a second wife (which is consistent with the fact that the age and birthplace are wrong for Betsy); yet, I can find no second marriage record for Ambrose. Living next door to Ambrose's son, Winston J. DAVIE (æ 25, b. KY).

5. Anon. 1986. Family Histories: Christian County, Kentucky, 1797-1986. Christian County Genealogical Society, Hopkinsville, KY. On pp. 148-149, separate entries for Ambrose DAVIE, his two sons, Winston and Montgomery, and grandson, Iredell. Only two children, Winston and Montgomery, are given for Ambrose; there is no mention of a son, Ambrose, which probably means he died young.
