9.GEORGE DEATHERAGE3 (Philemon2, William1), son of Philemon and Elizabeth Deatherage, was born between 1755-1774 [1800 federal census]. He lived in Rockingham Co., North Carolina. He died in 1811 or 1812 [County Record] in North Carolina.

He married first Margaret Joyce who died before 1802, the daughter of James.

George married second Charlotte Joyce, the daughter of Thomas...

Robert Deatherage, son of George and Margaret Deatherage, wrote his will on 3 Sep 1817.  It was probated in Nov 1817.  In the will he named his sister-in-law Elizabeth Deatherage, brother Philemon, dec'd... children of his Uncle Thomas Dalton, Sally, Robert, William, Elizabeth, and James...

12. MARY DEATHERAGE DALTON3 (Philemon2, William1) was the daughter of Philemon and Elizabeth Deatherage.  She died about the year 1814 [Wheeler]. 

Mary married about 1801 Thomas Dalton.  Thomas was born about 1770 [Wheeler] and he died in Rockingham Co., North Carolina, in 1864 [Probate Record].  He wrote his will on 12 Mar 1858.  He named his son William, his daughter Elizabeth Joyce, heirs of Garrett, heirs of son Robert Dalton, and grandsons William F. and John Dalton.  He named his son William his executor.  The will was witnessed by Nath'l. Dodd, and T.R. Stone.  Stone was dead when the will was probated...
