13. SAMUEL CORBIN (James, Clement), b. July 10, 1715, at Woodstock; m. Jane Davis Jan. 6, 1735-6 (by Nathaniel Walter of Boston); she was b. at Roxbury in 1716 (or Jan. 19, 1719), and d. at Dudley Oct. 29, 1801. He was a prominent citizen of Dudley, and held the following offices: Surveyor and constable, 1737; game-warden, 1742; highway surveyor, 1746; tything man, 1751; fence viewer, 1753; selectman, 1754, 1758, 1759, 1761, 1762; assessor, 1760; on school committee, 1760. He d. at Dudley Aug. 17, 1782. Both he and his wife are buried in the old cemetery there.
