John Tayloe CORBIN
Maria WALLER
WARNING:  this page is based entirely on secondary sources.  I have no idea how much of it is correct.
Husband:  John Tayloe CORBIN
Birth:  1739 or 1745/6, of Laneville, King and Queen Co., VA
Will Signed:  16 Feb 1792
Death:  14 or 16 Feb 1794, Laneville, King and Queen Co., VA
Politics:  a Loyalist
Father:  Col. Richard CORBIN
Mother:  Elizabeth TAYLOE
Marriage:  16 Feb 1771, Williamsburg, VA
Wife:  Maria / Mary "Molly" WALLER
Birth:  14 Jul 1752
Baptism:  26 Jul 1752
Death:  16 Sep 1796, Laneville, King & Queen Co., VA
Father:  Judge Benjamin WALLER (1716-1786), of Williamsburg, VA
Mother:  Martha HALL (1728-1780)
Children — born at "Laneville," King and Queen Co., VA:
— Hardy (1911:177) lists only the first four surviving children:
1.  Richard CORBIN, b. 2 Dec 1771
2.  John Tayloe CORBIN, b. 9 Apr 1775; d. 28 Aug 1775
3.  John Tayloe CORBIN, Jr., b. 24 Nov 1776; d. Dec 1799; m. 26 Jan 1799, King and Queen Co., VA, Juliette MUSE
4.  Gawin Lane CORBIN, b. 19 Jun 1778; d. 3 Nov 1821; m. Maria (BEVERLEY) RANDOLPH
5.  Elizabeth "Betty" Tayloe CORBIN, b. 29 Aug 1780; d. 24 Sep 1832; m1. Richard Henry CORBIN; m2. Elliott MUSE

— Meigs (1940:14) lists these four additional children:
6.  Martha Maria CORBIN, b. 21 Feb 1784; m. John B. WHITING, of Gloucester Co., VA
7.  Anna Frances Maria CORBIN, b. 21 Dec 1786; d. 1811; m. 6 Mar 1804, Tayloe BRAXTON
8.  Henrietta Matilda CORBIN, b. 26 Apr 1792; m. 1814, Madison DILLARD
9.  Henry Eltonhead CORBIN, b. 22 Sep 1794

Our subject mentions only the first six of his children in his will, which is understandable given the date he wrote it.  He mentions in the will that his wife is with child, which would account for Henrietta.  He may or may not have been aware his wife was pregnant with Henry when he passed away.

Meigs lists eight children for our subject, the four given by Hardy, plus four more.  The booklet is entirely lacking documentation, so it's reliability is uncertain.  I will say that he has the good judgment to doubt the connection to John CORBIN of Richmond (the Northern Neck CORBINS) and to doubt the one to the CORBINs of the eastern shore (the Delmarva CORBINs), both of whom Y-DNA evidence has shown are not related either to Henry or to each other.
