John CORBIN
Margaret HOLLAND and/or Christiana HOLLAND
WARNING:  Sources for the connections on this page are entirely secondary.  I have found no primary documentation to confirm them.  One secondary source claims our subject as a son of Henry CORBIN (1629-1675) of Hall End, Warwickshire, who immigrated to Virginia in 1654, but that Henry CORBIN was born in 1629, rendering such a connection impossible.
Husband:  John CORBIN
Birth:  ca. 1600, Fordington, St. George, Dorset, England
Occupation:  sea captain
Marriage:
Migration possibly:  1633, arrived Piscataqua [Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., NH]
Wife:  Margaret and/or Christiana HOLLAND
Children said to be:
1.  Clement CORBIN, b. 1626, England or Brookline, Norfolk Co., MA
2.  Joan CORBIN, b. 1628, MA
Keywords for search engines:  genealogy; UK, United Kingdom, GBR, Great Britain; USA, US, United States, Massachusetts, New Hampshire

The Piscataqua River is in Rockingham Co., NH.  At its lower reaches, it forms the southeasternmost part of the boundary between Maine and New Hampshire.  The estuary at the river's mouth is a major harbor and is the location of today's port city of Portsmouth, NH.  This record only proves that a John CORBIN was master of a ship that docked there in 1633 with a load of passengers.  It is not proof that he immigrated or that he is our subject, and if Joan was truly born in 1628 in MA, it argues against the connection.
