   Feb 17, 1795 from James Witherington, Richard Witherington, Benjamin Witherington, Ignatius Obryan and Rhoday, his wife, Basil Obryan & Eleanor, his wife, Allen Shuttleworth & Anne, his wife, Mary Carrico, widow of William Carrico of CC, to Thomas Waters of CC, for 151£ 2 shillings and 6 pence, part of a tract of land called Gates' Range, and part of a tract of land called Witheringtons Chance, and bounded by Hunts Venture, Sothorons Discovery, the original dividing line between sd Witherington's and Leven Sothoron, containing and now surveyed and laid out for 72 acres and 1 rood.  Also conveyed is part of Witheringtons Chance, lying between Sothorons Discovery and the Two Friends, containing about 20 acres and 3 roods.  Signed - James Withinton, Richard (X his mark) Witherington, Benjamin (X his mark) Witheringotn, Ignatius Obryan, Rhody (+ her mark) OBryan, Basil Obryan, Eleanor (+ her mark) Obryan, Allen (A his mark) Shettleworth, Anne (X her mark) Shettleworth, Mary (X her mark) Carrico.  Wit - Alexr McPherson*, Walter Dyson*.  Mary Witherington, wife to sd James Witherington, and Ann Withrington, wife of the sd Richard Withrington, and Mildred Withrington, wife of the sd Benjamin Withrington, and afd Rhoday OBryan, and afd Eleanor OBryan and afd Anne Shettleworth, relinquised their right of dower.  Recorded Feb 13, 1795.

James WITHERINGTON, Richard WITHERINGTON, Benjamin WITHERINGTON, Rhoday (WITHERINGTON) O'BRYAN, Eleanor (WITHERINGTON) O'BRYAN, and Anne (WITHERINGTON) SHUTTLEWORTH are Mary (WITHERINGTON) CARRICO's siblings, and all are children of Thomas WITHINGTON, so there is no doubt as to the identity of this Mary.  It is also absolutely clear from the deed that Mary is the widow of William CARRICO and that she was widowed by 1795.
