Sd land is part of a tract patented 6 Apr 1765 to Michael Christman, Senr, who died intestate. Wit: Daniel Boyer and George Gulliman. Prvd in Jan 1787 1788 [sic] by oath of Daniel Boyer. Michael Christman, Junr, and wf Elizabeth (X) to Andrew Gruse, for £110, 223-1/2 A on the north side of Dutch Buffalo Cr adj the [Rowan] county line to the north, Peter Sigman to the west, Henry Long to the south, and other lands of Christman to the east. Sd land is part of a tract patented 6 Apr 1765 by George III to Michael Christman, Senr, who died intestate and the land descended to the grantor, his eldest son. Wit: Daniel Bogger and George Christman. Prvd in Jan 1788 Ct by oath of Daniel Bogger. Same Martin, CMC.

4.  U.S. Geological Survey.  GNIS:  Geographic Names Information Service (online database).  "Dutch Buffalo Creek" is, today, in Cabarrus and Rowan Cos.  The creek flows south out of Rowan Co. and crosses the county line into Cabarrus Co. just east of the city of Kannapolis.  The creek continues southward until it joins the Rocky River, which then flows east to join the Pee Dee River.
