Before 1751, "Old Style" dates were in use where the beginning of the year was March 1st, not January 1st.  This means the 5th month is July, not May.  As expected, Beriah's children were not born in Rowley.

Comment [Abstract]...an ancient burial ground of the Brown family... Beriah Brown, the first settler of this tract...His descendants are buried in a row parallel with his... He came from England and settled here the latter part of the 17th century.  He perfected his title May 27, 1709... was born in England about 1620, emigrated here about 1670... [see web page for entire Comment]
Has photos and map.  Source for comment is secondary (see web page).  Beriah was born in Rowley, MA, in 1648; his father, Charles, married in Rowley in 1647, so Charles had to have immigrated before 1647, even assuming he was the immigrant.  These errors are a good reason to ignore this "Comment" altogether.
