3.  1800 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  not found, nor did I find Timothy's brother, Bruce.  There's a Timothy BRUCE in Berlin, but he has no sons and only four daughters, not enough children to be our subject.  There's also a Benjamin BRUCE in Berlin, but he's said to be the one who married Nancy McBRIDE; he's still there in 1810, when Benjamin shows up in Jay, NY.
