2.  Message #365 in the Blount Family Genealogy Forum (online at GenForum.com) in which it states that the marriage bond of Delila BLOUNT and James ROBERTS was attested to "by James H. Shankland with Athalia Blount."  The connection between Athalia BLOUNT and James SHANKLAND supports her connection to the SHANKLANDs and to our subject, William BLOUNT, as her son.  In the 1820 Census, Athaliah (ROBERTS) BLOUNT, her children, and her grandchildren were the only BLOUNTs living in Nicholas Co., KY.
