Where are Elizabeth's children?  Did they go to live with their guardians?  It's hard for me to believe a woman would give up her own children to raise some other woman's children.  Is Elizabeth really the wife in the household?

7.  Obituary on file at the Union County Historical Society in Lewisburg (courtesy of Terry Straub) that reads:
Elizabeth, wife of Abraham Bay, and former wife of John Straub, born December 12, 1795, died May 17, 1864 at Driesbach United Church of Christ Church, May 17, 1864 in East Buffalo.  Union Co. Star & Lewisburg Chronicle, May 20, 1864.

8.  Emails from Terry Straub, including:
In the August 1864 estate settlement I have for Elizabeth it mentions that $375.80 will be distributed among 6 heirs.  Sadly, those heirs are not listed.  However, in the Final Decree in Probate Court for Daniel Straub filed on November 3, 1909, Elias Straub, Henry Bay, Franklin Bay and Emanuel Bay are listed as "brothers of the deceased"...

I did hear from... a descendant of Emanuel Bay.  He gives Emanuel's birth year as 1831; Emanuel married Emma Clark October 11, 1859; He died June 12, 1894...
