Mary appears to be fibbing about her age, as widows are wont to do. With regard to Jacob, this record is hard to figure. Only those age 16 or over are supposed to be given an occupatioin. Either Jacob was not 6 years old or, if he was just 6, he should not have been given an occupation and he was out of order. Where are Mary and Phoebe? Did they die?
