2.  Marriage License, County of Butte, State of California, 11 Sep 1919, which reads:

William Robert Yarbrough, native of Calif. aged 26 years, resident of Maxwell, County of Colusa, State of California, and Margaret La Verne Rose, native of Calif., aged 22 years, resident of Stockton, County of San Joaquin, State of California.

William "ran off" with the much younger Peggy, much to the distress of her family.    He obviously obtained the license on his own because he didn't spell Peggy's middle name correctly.  Peggy is lying about her age (she is only 17, not 22).

3.  Death Certificate, State of Nevada, Division of Health, Vital Statistics.  "Margaret Rose" died 28 Jan 1930 in Tonopah, Nye Co., NV.  Her birth year is wrongly given as 1900.

4.  On p. 17 of the Cemetery Inscriptions of Colusa County, California, Vol. 2, by the Colusa Co. Genealogical Society, there is an entry for a Wm. R. Yarbrough.  He is in the Maxwell Cemetery, and on the stone it says 1893-1965, which is consistent with an age of 26 in 1919.  However, I do not as yet have proof that this man and the above are the same individual.
