Could McGilvery Wyatt (b. 1796/7) be "Son B" and could Druscilla be one
of the daughters?

| *From 1807-1809, the county was divided
into just two districts: East and West. In 1820, the eastern
part of the East Dist. became western Todd Co. William's location
is confirmed by the location of the West Fork of the Red River in today's
southwestern Todd Co. |
There was a William Wyatt on the 1800 tax rolls, but given the hiatus,
it seems unlikely he is the same William Wyatt who appears in 1809.

Given that William sold his land in 1816, could he be this "landless" Wyatt?
With the formation of Todd Co. in 1820, the disappearance of these Wyatts
from the Christian Co. tax rolls was to be expected.

years be bound to John H. ANDERSON until he attain full age to learn the
trade, art and mistery of the cabinet business and that the said ANDERSON
enter into Indenture of apprenticeship with the clerk of this Court according
to law. |
John
FINLEY is distantly related to the William
T. WYATT (b. 1802/3, TN) who married Rachel THOMPSON in 1825 in Todd
Co., KY. Could McGilvery and Drusilla be children of William
and Dorothy?

The first witness on a deed is usually a relative/representative of the
husband, and the second witness is usually a relative/representative of
the wife. In other words, these secondary witnesses may be an aid
to finding Dorothy's surname. Reins Lick Creek is a sinking tributary
in the watershed of the West Fork of the Red River, just NW of Trenton,
Todd Co., KY. For location of Reins Lick Creek on a map, see Geographic
Names Information Service. |
