5.  Census Microfilm Records:  Illinois, 1850 (Broderbund CD-310, Disk 3):  Morgan Co., IL, p. 296, 1771/1813, enumerated 13 Oct 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen; this is a difficult record to read, especially the numbers):
Edward Wyatt 52 M Farmer 2000 Tenn
Ann      " 54 F     SC
James    " 23 M     Ky
Martha   " 20 F     "
Newton   " 18 M Farmer   Ill
Phineas  " 16 M   "    "
Jani     " 14 F      "
Mary     " 12 "      "
Robert   "  8 M      "
Martin   " 10? 16? "      "
Mary     " 72 F      "
I seriously doubt that the elder Mary was born in Illinois.  European settlers simply hadn't reached Illinois by 1778 — explorers, yes, but not settlers.  The census-taker must have gotten carried away with his ditto marks.  The elder Mary is very likely Edward's mother, Mary (NEEDHAM) WYATT, except that she should be about ten years older.  Is this another census-taker error?

This is the first and only time Edward appears on the Christian Co. tax rolls.  It is expected that he would disappear from the tax rolls (and the census) of Christian Co. when Todd Co. was formed in 1820.
