Yes, it did say "2nd Rate" in 1803 and "3rd Rate" in 1804. Sarah
Thompson not found on tax rolls after 1804, nor can I find a marriage record
for her in Christian Co. in 1805 or following.

Sarah Thompson exempted from paying a State Tax on 200 acres of
3rd rate land and one horse it being improperly taken in by the Commissioner
of the Tax in the year 1804 to be collected in 1805 and that it be certifyed
to the Auditor of Publick Accounts. |
