2 males 16-25 1784-1794 = Samuel (b. 1790-94)

1 female 45 or over in or bef. 1765 = Barbara
1 slave all ages in or bef. 1810 = ?
If it's correct that both George and Barbara were born before 1765, as it shows here, then their marriage in 1791 was a late first marriage for both of them.  It was very unusual for a Pennsylvanian to have a slave, which makes me wonder if our subject didn't come to Pennsylvania from a southern state (viz., Maryland or Virginia).

6.  1820 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  not found, as expected, but two sons appear for the first time (viz., Jacob and Samuel).

p. 1056 SPRING TOWNSHIP...
p. 1057 ...In February, 1803, George Stroop warranted 250 acres adjoining lands, which he had purchased west of Landisburg.  While living in this vicinity Stroop was sheriff of Cumberland County.  When the county was formed his heirs were assessed with over 1,300 acres of land.

Stroop's main tract, passed to Martin Swartz in 1822...[goes on to give the history of the tract's ownership]
