HARRY DREW STROUP, assistant manager of the three plants of the West Virginia  Paper Company, with offices at Williamsburg, Pa., is a native of Tyrone, Pa.,  having been born there, May 30, 1888, a son of John B. and Lillie M.  (Bridenbaugh) Stroup, the former of whom is deceased and the latter of whom  resides at Hollidaysburg, Pa.  He obtained his education in the graded and high  schools of Tyrone and the Kiskiminetas Springs Preparatory School.  In 1907, he  came to Williamsburg to enter the employ of the West Virginia Pulp & Paper  Company and applied himself to learning the various phases of the business.  On  May 9, 1927, he became superintendent, succeeding his father in that position at  the time of his parent's death, and on May 1, 1929, was made assistant manager  of three mills operated by the company in Tyrone, Williamsburg, and Piedmont,  West Virginia.  He has attained the Thirty-second Degree in Scottish Rite Masonry  and is a member of the Shrine.  In 1910, Mr. Stroup married Kathryn A. Fay, of  Williamsburg, and they are the parents of one daughter, Madolyn L., who is  attending college.  Mr. Stroup is a member of the Blairmont Country Club, Juniata  Valley Colony Club, and Huntingdon Country Club.
