It also appears he married Martha before he left PA, so we can't be certain which wife was with him in the 1810 census nor which wife is the mother of the children born ca. 1800-1810. Is his wife Catherine or Martha? The Luzerne enumeration uses some non-standard numerical code; it would doubtless be interesting to know what those codes stand for. Catharine appears to be fibbing about her age. List was roughly alphabetized. Also in county: Henry's widowed aunt, Margaret (VAN VALKENBURG) STROPE, and Henry's sister, Mary (STROPE) TUTTLE, with whom is living Henry's widowed mother, Lydia (VAN VALKENBURG) STROPE.
