1.  Jordan R. Dodd, ed.  1993.  Kentucky Marriages:  Early to 1850.  Liahona Research, Orem, UT (Broderbund CD-229):
Love, Leonard Strawberry, Elizabeth 2 Jan 1798 Bracken Co.
I would not "buy" that Elizabeth STRAWBERRY could be Elizabeth STRAUBE, except for the fact that Elizabeth's son, Christian, shows up in the 1820 census of Indiana as Christian STRAWBERRY!

2.  Census Index:  Colonial America, 1607-1789 (Broderbund CD-310):  the only STRAUBE records on the CD are immigrations that are too far back (viz., 1739 and 1754) to be our subject.

3.  1790 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  not found, or at least not apparent.  There was no census in KY, but the PA census is extant, and the children give their birthplace as PA, so they should be enumerated in PA, but I can't find them under any conceivable spelling of the name.

4.  Anon.  1991.  The 1795 Census of Kentucky [as constructed from tax lists].  T.L.C. Genealogy, Miami Beach, FL (said to include every extant tax list from every county existing in the state of Kentucky in 1795):  not found.

5a.  1800 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  not found, but the 1800 KY census was destroyed.

5b.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1800 (Broderbund CD-312):  Because the 1800 KY census was destroyed, tax lists are substituted on this CD where available.  Our subject was not found, but the CD has only 16 records for Bracken Co., KY, so the Bracken County tax lists are obviously incomplete.

1 white male 26-44 1775-1794 = Son: George (b. 1792/3)

1 female slave 13 and under 1806-1820 = ?
1 female slave 45 or over in or bef. 1775 = ?
*In the 1820 Census, the third column is age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25; therefore, any individual in column three is duplicated in column four.  By subtracting the number in column three from the number in column four, you can create an age class "19-25."
Leonard LOVE not found; Elizabeth appears to be widowed again and living with her newly married son, George.  With four slaves, it's a prosperous household.
