This record was extremely difficult to read, so my extraction is neither complete nor entirely accurate.  Apparently the person filling out the manifest was a native speaker because, for example, he wrote Glogovacs with the terminal s with the little tail on it (with a cedilla, which my HTML editor won't allow me to enter).  But there are other places where I believe the reason I can't read the record is that the characters used are not English.  But note that the origin is indexed Glovovacz, which may mean "z" is the proper transciption of the terminal letter.  "Fiume" is the Italian name for the port city of Rijeka, Croatia [part of former Yugoslavia].  Also on the same page of the same manifest, Jacob Henry DUMELE, whose daughter later married a different Paul STRAUB, also from Glogowatz.  The only John STRAUB (or variation) in Portland, OR, in the 1910 census is this one, who was born in Glogowatz, immigrated in 1907, and lived at 405 19 North [St.].
