Joseph Stroup first appears on the Mahoning Twp, Columbia Co, Pennsylvania tax lists in 1816.  He died there before 6 April 1822 when the widow, Barbara renounced her right to administer his estate in favor of John Bailor (Baylor).  There were apparently three sons and three daughters.  Only Daniel, b. c1820 is known...
