7.  Anon.  Tuesday, 23 Dec 1947.  Obituary: John G. STRAUB. The Allentown Morning Call (Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA), p. 22 (posted to the Straub Surname Board online at Ancestry.com):
John G. Straub, 80, of East Bangor, died Saturday while visiting Peter Onjack, 24 E. Susquehanna St., Allentown.  Mr. Straub was a lifelong resident of East Bangor, where he had been living at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. John Onjack.  He was a member of the East Bangor Fire Co.  In addition to Mrs. Onjack, he leaves a son, Paul B., San Antonio; a stepson, Rev. William Krout, Colorado; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Jones, Detroit; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Paul Santone, Philadelphia; a grandchild and six great-grandchildren.

Geographical Note:  East Bangor straddles the line between Upper Bethel Twp. and Washington Twp.
