I have no direct proof that the Morris STRAUB born Nov 1863 in PA who shows up in the 1900 census of Seneca Co., OH, is our subject's son, but there is no other Morris STRAUB in the 1880 census, except our subject's son, who just happens to be born in the right place at the right time.

Who is Elizabeth?  The only Elizabeth STRAUB/STROUP in the entire 1860 census who is near 74 years of age is Elizabeth (HAHN) STRAUB, wife of Daniel S. STRAUB.  Daniel is our subject's grand-uncle, but he's still alive, living with one of his married sons.
