Kinship is supposed to be with reference to the head-of-household, not to the wife.  As Joseph is Sarah's son from her prior marriage (to Wilbert HAWK), Joseph should have been listed as a step-son.  Richard and Ruth were born before Harry & Sarah were married, but it is asserted they are, indeed, Harry & Sarah's biological children.

Straub Lenker, 83, of Elizabethtown and formerly of Grantville and Hershey, passed away Friday, May 30, 2003, in the Masonic Home in Elizabethtown.  Born in Derry Township on April 17, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Harry J. and Sarah Snavely Straub... She is survived by... three sisters, Pauline Gassert, Lillian “Dolly” Gibson wife of Lester Gibson, and Edie Fisher all of Pine Grove; one brother, Joseph Hawk of Hershey... In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Straub, and a sister, Helen Keesey...

Ruth's relationships to her siblings are in need of documentation.  Edie FISHER is Mrs. Edith S. (REED) FISHER, daughter of Mrs. Helen (MEASE) REED STRAUB, our subject's second wife; Mrs. Helen (REED) KEESEY is also Helen's daughter.  Joseph HAWK is, at most, Ruth's half-brother, son of Sarah Leah (SNAVELY) HAWK STRAUB and her first husband, Wilbert Herman HAWK.
