| I found it nearly impossible to rationalize the children in the home
from census to census. There can be little doubt that they had more
children than just the ones named here, but it is equally likely that some
of the young people in their home between 1800 and 1850 were not their
children. The question is, of course, which ones? And that's
assuming there are no errors in the census records, which is never a safe
assumption.
