| *In the 1820 Census, the third column is
age class 16-18 and the fourth column is age class 16-25; therefore, any
individual in column three is duplicated in column four. By subtracting
the number in column three from the number in column four, you can create
an age class "19-25." |

Abigail is too old to be the mother of the children in the household; it's
most likely they are our subjects' grandchildren. Listed nine lines
below son, Isaac STANG, who is six lines below son, John [W.] STANG.

Mary and Elizabeth were not in the household in the 1830 and 1840 censuses,
so they cannot be Abigail's daughters. Nathan is said to have had
wife, Mary, so it's a fair guess his wife is the Mary here. On the
other hand, Mary could be Abigail's unmarried daughter, in which case she's
telling a whopping fib about her age. I don't know where Elizabeth
fits in.
