In addition to having dreadful handwriting, this enumerator must have been obsessed with Ohio. The children from Josephine on down were born in Illinois. And surely "Ama" was female. Listed next to Maria's twice-widowed mother, Rebecca (BEATY) HOLT SHAWGO (see next source), who is listed next to Solomon's father, Jacob STILL (æ 76, b. OH) and wife, Susan (æ 69, b. OH). Is Susan the same person as Elspy? I can find no record of a second marriage for Jacob in the online Illinois Statewide Marriage Index.

Listed two households from John SHANGO (æ 36, b. OH), who is next to the BLOOMFIELD family, with whom is living Virginia STILL (æ 9, b. IL, parents b. OH, servant), who may be Maria's last child. Also in Woodland Twp. (p. 436A), there is a Maggie STILL (æ 14, b. IL, parents b. OH, servant) living with widow Martha (__?__) BLOOMFIELD, who is almost certainly Maria's daughter. These are the only STILLs in the county, so either the other children have been adopted, have moved, have married, or are also deceased.
