MISHAWAKA — M. Madeline Stiebritz, 92, of South Shore Drive, died Friday (March 18, 2005) in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka.

She was born Dec. 24, 1912, in Niles, Mich., to John J. and Nellie Mae (Gray) Straub.  She married Walter A. Stiebritz, Sr. on Aug. 25, 1936.

He survives along with a son, Walter A. (Cynthia) Stiebritz, Jr., of Mishawaka; three daughters, Janet M. White of Mishawaka, Sue E. (Grover) Walker of Bean Station, Tenn., and Muriel A. Gordy of Osceola; and 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Chester, Sadie and Hazel.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola.  Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday also at the funeral home with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

Mrs. Stiebritz attended Nuner School in River Park.  She was a homemaker and loved her children and being a grandmother to her grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, reading her Bible and emroidering.  Her memberships include the Cedar Road Missionary Church in Mishawaka.
