William is supposed to have been born in Connecticut, he should be 64, and his wife should be Lydia — and where is Mary Frances?  Is this really our subject?  Yet "L.S. CRITTENDEN" is Lydia (SHERWOOD) CRITTENDEN, our subject's recently married daughter, whose husband, Hiram CRITTENDEN, is living in a hotel in St. Louis, apparently away on business (by 1860, Hiram & Lydia are living together in St. Louis).  And Moses HOPKINS is the brother-in-law of William's daughter, Mary Frances (SHERWOOD) HOPKINS.  And William could be remarried.
