The birthplaces given for the children, namely, "Monroe Co., VA," and "Monroe, Amherst Co., VA," do not make sense. There is no such place as Monroe County in VA, today. There was a Monroe Co. in VA that is now in WV. There is also a Monroe in Amherst Co., VA. So where were they? In Monroe Co., (W)VA, or Monroe, Amherst Co., VA?
