Page 271.  Pursuant to an order to us directed from Christian County Court, we have proceeded to make settlement with Nancy Check, executrix of Harden Check deceased, who was guardian for Alexander Reed's heirs.  We find a balance yet due sd estate of $591.21¼.  Signed - Cornelius Burnett, Dudley Williams, Richard P. Dawson.  Recorded Nov 1, 1819.

Harden Chick died Apr/May 1819, so if he was made guardian of Alexander's children, Alexander must have predeceased him.

Elizabeth Chick married Alexander Reade, and they had a son, named John, who settled Readesville.  John was a small man, and he married Sarah Moxley, who was a very small woman.  They built a small house, bought a small cow that had a small calf, and all their dogs, pigs, and chickens were small.
