NOTICE: a patrilineal (direct male line) descendant of our subject is participating in the RASEY Y-Chromosome DNA Surname Project. Anyone who suspects he is a patrilineal descendant of our subject can support that connection with a Y-DNA test. A descendant of Joseph RAZEE I has also been tested, and results indicate they are not closely related, debunking the assertion that he is our subject's father. Our subject's test results have also totally debunked the myth of a connection to Malcolm MacLEOD of the Isle of Raasay, Scotland. These MacLEODs are Haplogroup R1b, while our subject is Haplogroup I1b2a, meaning they cannot have shared a common ancestor for tens of thousands of years.

It seems unlikely they recorded their marriage twice in one day in two different towns, so it appears the screw-up was made by Baldwin in compiling his notes. Until someone re-checks the town records, all we can say, for certain, is they were married in Worcester County on 6 May 1757.
