This man is said to be our subject, but he has no sons, at all, and no daughter young enough to be Catharine.  The lack of children is not due to a lack of female help to care for them because he's go two women living with him who surely could care for them.  There is no other Benjamin PENN (of this exact spelling) in Missouri, but I really can't accept this as our subject without some corroborating — and compelling — evidence.
