| John H. NAVE
Winifred O. KELLY |
| Husband: John H. NAVE (sometimes called "Jr." to distinguish
him from his uncle)
Birth: Jan 1833, Carter Co., TN Death: bet. 1865 and 1870 Father: Abraham Valentine NAVE Mother: Elizabeth BOWERS John is said to have died 3 Jul 1864 in the Battle of Lone Jack (Jackson Co., MO), but that battle took place 15-16 Aug 1862 and John had to have lived at least until 1865, probably 1866, to have fathered son, John L. There was an engagement at Little Blue (Jackson Co., MO) ca. 6 Jul 1864 and/or 21 Oct 1864. So, the question is: is his deathdate wrong? Is it the wrong battle? Is the John NAVE who died in the Civil War a different John NAVE? |
