William is one of 28 men (some married, most single, all oil workers of some sort) living in what must be a dormitory or labor camp.  Can't find Ethel (she's not with her parents, either).  The 1910 index is currently not "every-name," so perhaps I can find her once we have an every-name index.

Oct 31 1939

William L McCall, 51, of Coal Hill, known in the oil fields in this vicinity as a oil well shooter, died at the Oil City Hospital at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of two weeks.  He had been a patient at the hospital since Friday.

The son of Albert and Caroline McCool McCall, he was born on Sept 20 1888 at Hill City.  He worked in the oil fields of Californa and Oklahoma for 20 years and for the past 10 years in the fields in this section.

Mr McCall was a member of the qua, Okla., Lodge F and A.M. Oil City Accia No 263 Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the First Evangelical Church of Oil City.

He married Miss Ethel Stroup on Nov 8 1908.

Surviving are one son Harry J., three grandchildren and the following brothers: Frank and Robert of Montpeller, Ind; Guy of Erie; Talmidge of Pleasentville; and C.H. McCall of Ohio.

The Wednesday before 31 Oct 1939 was the 25th.
