9. Anon. 1911. Genealogical & Biographical Annals of Northumberland County. J.L. Floyd & Co., Chicago. Biographical sketches of Jacob STRAUB and his kin. Andreas STRAUBE settled in Columbia and lived out his days there, with the implication that all of his children were born there. Names one of the daughters as "Mrs. MERKLE." 10. WorldConnect / Ancestry World Trees (online at RootsWeb.com/Ancestry.com). One well-documented file quotes a family bible giving Christian's birthdate as 18 Mar 1758 in Moselem and his marriage to "Maria STRAUBEN," who was born near Lancaster on 8 Jan 1759. Lists children and birthdates. Also Christian and Maria's tombstone readings, where she is called "Ann Maria." Indicates that Christian moved from Berks Co. to Bloomsburg, Columbia Co., then to Milton. |
