| Marriage: 1918/9 |
| Wife: Lucy Emma DEAN-STRAUB
Birth: 13 Feb 1898/9, Cripple Creek, Teller Co., CO, or Chillicothe, Livingston Co., MO Death: 16 Feb 1972, Los Gatos, Santa Clara Co., CA Disposition: buried Mission City Memorial Cemetery, Santa Clara, Santa Clara Co., CA Occupation: homemaker; florist (she and her daughter, Barbara, owned a florist shop in Santa Clara) Other Spouse: m2. aft. 1824, Clarence Joseph DREISCHMEYER Biological Father: Walter Fernando DEAN Biological Mother: Nina WILLIS Adoptive Father: Albert Roy STRAUB I think the Cripple Creek birthplace may be romanticized. At the time Lucy was born, her father was a law student at the University of Colorado in Boulder. A family letter (by Lucy's maternal grandmother) mentions that Nina came home to her parents in Missouri about a week before Lucy was born and that she was born there. This is consistent with the fact that Nina gives Missouri as Lucy's birthplace in the 1900 census. |
