Germans add an "-in" to surnames to feminize them (i.e., the men
in her family would be surnamed "Eschbach"). And could she possibly
be a Fischbach? There were several early Kopp-Fischbach marriages.
It wouldn't take much of a transcription error to turn "Fi" into "E".
