1.  First-hand knowledge:  Lavernia (THOMPSON) JOSEPH was my great-aunt, whom I knew and loved as "Auntie Lou."  I'm too young to have more than a vague recollection of Charles, but I'm told he was very handsome and personable and quite the "ladies' man."
